Sir Gary Sobers festival of Golf

Thank you to everyone who has helped making this year’s tournament such a success! The event took place from 7-10 May and saw some stiff competition as almost 300 golfers competed for the winning titles.

With perfect weather conditions, players battled it out over the four 18-hole courses on the island including Barbados Golf Club, Sandy Lane Country Club, Apes Hill Club and Royal Westmoreland.

Congratulations are in order for Royal Westmoreland member James Johnson who won the Gents gross division (295) by 9 shots as well as Leiza Munn who won the Ladies gross division (316) by 19 shots. Well done! For the full list of winner, please click here

Making us particularly proud was the participant’s feedback that the condition of the Royal Westmoreland course was in the best shape it has been for years. Special thanks go out to Royal Westmoreland’s Superintendent Simon Crawford and his staff for all his hard work put in over the year!
