Pure Leisure Group pledges commitment to the Christie Charity
Leading holiday park company Pure Leisure Group is pledging its support to the largest cancer treatment and research centre in Europe, The Christie, with a number of fund raising initiatives over the coming year.
Starting with a star studded charity ball at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester on the 29th October, the company donated the top prize of a 14 night stay at their world renowned resort in Barbados, Royal Westmoreland, which fetched an impressive £9,000 for the charity.
In 2014 the company has pledged to donate £5 from every one of its 16,000 holiday bookings taken annually at Royal Westmoreland plus £1 across their nine holiday parks in the UK.
Christies will also be the chief benefactor of 2014 Pure Leisure Annual Charity Ball, an event now in its twelfth year which has so far raised over half a million for charitable causes.
John Morphet, owner of Pure Leisure Group, commented: “So many people are diagnosed from cancer and we are truly astonished by the unbelievable levels of care and support The Christie provides, for us it’s an obvious charity to support in 2014.”
